Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for night shift, Mon–Fri 10:30 PM–7:00 AM with rotational weekends. The role involves performing tests of moderate to high complexity with independent judgment and adherence to SOPs.

You will support QC, troubleshoot, maintain instruments, and ensure proper specimen handling and timely results, with data entry into the LIS. Shift differential may apply for certain hours.

• Leadership and problem-solving required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report on assigned analytical tests per SOP.
• Provide support to QC, troubleshooting, instrument maintenance and staff training.
• Enter test results into LIS and maintain records of patient test results.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and laboratory safety requirements.
• Maintain laboratory areas and equipment in a safe, functional condition.
