Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist Group Lead for a rotating night shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role requires independent judgment on moderate/high complexity tests and acts as a technical resource for the department.

The position may offer shift differentials and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include overseeing testing and workflow, ensuring QC compliance, and mentoring staff while maintaining safety and documentation

Qualifications

• Three to five years of clinical experience as a Medical Technologist in the designated discipline.
• Foreign-educated candidates require credential evaluation; US-educated need original transcript.
• ASCP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report analytical tests per SOP with QC requirements met.
• Assist Lab Supervisor and serve as a technical resource for the department.
• Maintain safety, handling, and documentation of patient test results.
• Monitor workflow to meet testing schedules and train staff as needed.
• Investigate analytical problems and coordinate corrective actions with other departments.
