Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Carmel, IN seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for Monday to Friday days and occasional evenings with weekend rotation. Pay starts at $28.00+ per hour, with potential 10% second shift and 15% third shift differentials.

Eligible for annual bonus and extensive benefits. Responsibilities include performing moderate/high complexity tests, ensuring QC, maintaining records, and supporting departmental goals.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or Associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• ASCP Certification (Preferred).
• One year full-time experience or training in high-complexity testing in a clinical lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and report results per SOPs with quality control requirements.
• Provide department support: QC, troubleshooting, instrument maintenance, staff training, and process improvement.
• Enter results into the Laboratory Information System for standardized physician reports.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and laboratory safety requirements.
• Maintain lab areas and equipment in a safe, functional condition.
• Train and mentor other personnel as needed.
