Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist II in Chantilly, VA, working Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM. The MLS II will perform high-complexity testing, exercise independent judgment, and ensure quality control across immunoassay and related assays in the Clinical Lab - Immuno - Main.

Qualifications

• 1 year laboratory experience in high complexity testing.
• Bachelor of Science with certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP/NRCC/AMT) dated after 1/1/2014 or equivalent.
• BS in Medical Technology or a Chemistry/Biochemistry major with approved training in a clinical lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report analytical tests per SOPs with QC.
• Troubleshoot instruments and support process improvements.
• Ensure specimen handling and timely reporting.
• Maintain safe, clean lab environment and document results.
• Assist with staff training and regulatory compliance.
