Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II in Chantilly, VA for a Tuesday–Saturday night shift (12:00 AM–8:30 AM). The role focuses on moderate/high complexity testing in clinical chemistry and immunoassay, with opportunities for performance bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

The candidate will demonstrate proficiency across testing areas, ensure quality control, and support instrument maintenance and staff training within a CLIA/HIPAA compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science with certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent post-2014 credential.
• BSMT or Medical Technology degree from an accredited US college or university.
• Chemistry or Biochemistry major plus 1 year testing experience in a clinical lab.
• Biological science degree with required chemistry coursework and 1 year testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report on analytical tests per SOP with quality control.
• Troubleshoot instruments and troubleshoot complex problems in the department.
• Enter results into the Laboratory Information System for physician review.
• Maintain safety and adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA requirements.
• Support training of other laboratory personnel and assist with audits.
