Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician II in Christiansburg, VA. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM with rotational weekends and holidays. Pay range starts at $21.84 per hour, with 10% shift differential on some hours (second shift) and 15% on some hours (third shift).

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years high complexity testing in clinical laboratory experience for those with BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology.
• Previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433 published in March 14, 1990.

Responsibilities

• Perform and report analytical tests per SOPs ensuring QC requirements are met.
• May perform some moderate/high complexity testing with on-site training and oversight.
• Support lab policies for specimen handling, test analysis, reporting and record-keeping.
• Adhere to schedules to maintain turnaround time including STATS or critical results.
• Ensure reagents/test kits have received, expiration and opening dates.
• Document QC analyses and decisions regarding assay results.
