Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Wayne, NJ, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for nights (10:30 PM to 7:00 AM) with rotating weekends. This role requires proficiency in high-complexity testing and independent judgment, within the Managed Labs department.

You will perform and interpret tests, support QC, troubleshoot instruments, and ensure accurate reporting while maintaining strict safety and records management standards. Shift differential may apply.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience or training in a clinical laboratory (high complexity testing).
• Three years of clinical experience preferred, with the most recent year in the current department.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology or an Associates degree in a Laboratory Science/Medical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform test procedures of moderate/high complexity with independent judgment.
• Provide support for quality control, troubleshoot problems, and maintain instruments.
• Perform and report analytical tests per SOPs, ensuring quality control requirements.
• Handle specimens per policies, maintain records, and report results to physicians.
• Enter test results into LIS for standardized physician reports.
• Maintain safe, clean lab areas and assist with staff training and projects.
