Job summary

Quest Diagnostics seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist Group Lead in Grand Rapids, MI. The role oversees laboratory operations, provides technical leadership, and supports the Lab Supervisor in staffing and workflow management.

Key responsibilities include ensuring quality control, maintaining turnaround times, and serving as a resource for complex analyses and client inquiries. This position requires leadership, regulatory compliance, and strong communication within the team.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of clinical experience as a Medical Technologist within the designated discipline.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide a credential evaluation from IERF; US-educated candidates must provide a detailed transcript.
• ASCP Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in all duties of a Medical Technologist I and II.
• Perform and report on assigned analytical tests per SOPs and QC requirements.
• Adhere to lab policies for specimen handling, processing, testing, reporting and record keeping.
• Act as a technical resource for the department and resolve analytical testing problems.
