Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Clifton, NJ seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist Group Lead for a Sunday to Thursday shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM). The role oversees Serology General within Clinical Laboratory and reports to the Lab Supervisor, with a focus on quality control and timely results.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of MT experience, ASCP preferred, and strong leadership, communication, and resource planning skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of clinical experience as a Medical Technologist
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation from IERF
• US-educated candidates must provide a detailed original transcript

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in duties of a Medical Technologist I and II
• Perform and report on assigned analytical tests per SOP with QC requirements
• Assist Lab Supervisor and serve as a technical resource for the department
• Adhere to policies for specimen handling, test analysis and recordkeeping
• Maintain turnaround times including STATs or critical results
• Review QC analysis and ensure instrument accuracy
• Assist with training and competency testing
• Participate in inspections and oversee supervisor functions when needed
