Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking a Unit Support Associate for MedSurg CDU on the night shift (7pm-7am). You will transport patients, verify IDs, assist with mobility, and support imaging and procedure areas. Duties include equipment handling, supply stocking, and EMR documentation, under licensed staff supervision.

Responsibilities emphasize patient safety, exceptional communication, and compassionate care in a fast-paced hospital setting. High school diploma and BLS at hire are required.

Responsabilités

• Transportation of patients
• Proper verification of patient identification
• Obtain TTR (ticket to ride), proper sign out of patient, proper notification of RN upon return
• Proper movement and transport of patient
• Verify that O2 and IVs are transported correctly
• Ensure that proper handwashing and isolation technique is used
• Utilizes proper body mechanics and lift equipment
• Clean equipment
• Stock rooms as needed
• Becomes familiar with EMR and use it proficiently
• Scans outside documentation into EMR as needed
• Follows excellence in customer service practices with patients and families
• Protects rights and dignity of patient; maintains confidentiality
• Answers telephone and call lights promptly; notifies appropriate staff
• Resolves patient concerns; offers comfort measures to patients and families
• Presents self in a positive, professional manner; collaborates with health care team
• Provides patient care under supervision of licensed staff
• Provides basic patient care needs (hygiene, nutrition, elimination, comfort) as assigned
• Transports patients to and from Radiation Oncology, Inpatient floors and ED as needed
• Transports supplies, meds and equipment; communicates clearly
