Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for the MedSurg CDU at Kennestone Hospital. This PRN night position (7pm–7am) emphasizes relationship-based, patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, and collaborative interdisciplinary rounds.

You will support performance improvement, develop nursing competencies, and mentor staff, while adhering to Wellstar policies and safety standards. Required are an RN license (state or compact), BLS, ACLS, and an associate/diploma/BSN in nursing.

Qualifications

• Associates, diploma, or BSN nursing preferred.
• RN license valid in the state or compact.
• BLS certification required; ACLS required or Instructor/Provisional variants accepted.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process with evidence-based care.
• Delivers patient-centered care across MedSurg CDU.
• Partners with patients and families; conducts bedside report and rounds.
• Adheres to current clinical practice standards.
• Coordinates safe care with interdisciplinary teams; ensures documentation.
