Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for MedSurg CDU in the Night shift (7pm-7am) at Kennestone Hospital. The role emphasizes exemplary practice, patient-centered care, and collaboration with the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Required minimum education includes an associate degree, diploma or bachelor’s in nursing (preferred). Current RN licensure and BLS/ACLS are essential for hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years current experience in the specified area of practice.
• Computer/data entry experience is required.
• Epic and 3M experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation) with evidence-based care.
• Delivers patient-centered care respecting cultural diversity and individual goals.
• Partners with patient and family through bedside reports, rounds and teaching.
• Practices using current clinical standards for quality care.
• Coordinates safe care with interdisciplinary teams and accurate documentation.
• Supports performance improvement and shared governance across the system.
• Participates in protocol development and resource planning to optimize outcomes.
