Job summary

Mount Sinai West is seeking a part-time Staff Nurse for Med/Surg (General) to work nights from 7pm to 7:30am, with every other weekend requirement. The role requires assessment, planning, and coordinated patient care within a designated team, emphasizing teaching, discharge planning, and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualified candidates hold a BSN or ADN with valid RN licensure and possess Med/Surg experience, with NRP, ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications preferred as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or pursuing BSN with graduation date within the year.
• ADN RN with Nursing experience may be approved by CNO.
• Med/Surg experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and document progress notes and updated care plans.
• Coordinate discharge planning and inter-department communication.
• Teach patients and families, and provide orientation to new staff as needed.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to staff and students to ensure quality care.
