Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking a Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations to lead on first, second, or third shift manufacturing activities, ensuring compliant, efficient execution of cGMP operations. The role involves supervising daily operations, assigning work per production plans, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.

The position requires a Bachelor's in a scientific/technical field with 6+ years' experience, prior supervisory experience, and familiarity with POMS MES.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, technical or engineering discipline.
• 6+ years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Prior cell therapy and aseptic manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior POMS MES experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations.
• Assign work to shift personnel based on production schedules and plans.
• Oversee cGMP manufacturing activities, including equipment setup, assembly, operation, disassembly, and cleaning.
• Execute and witness batch record instructions to ensure compliant documentation.
• Perform real-time on-the-floor batch record review.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to support facility operations, maintenance, and manufacturing objectives.
• Monitor and enforce GMP compliance for all personnel and activities.
• Maintain facility in audit-ready state and adhere to SOPs, procedures and training requirements.
• Work with QA Document Control to manage MBRs for process operations.
• Lead and participate in Tier 0 and Tier 1 meetings.
• Attend onboarding and training and be flexible for shift changes.
