Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America in Winnsboro, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our high-speed manufacturing facility. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, perform preventative maintenance, and repair equipment in a demanding production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from trade school or technical school preferred in electrical/mechanical fields.
• 2–4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with various equipment including lubricating, motor control, relay control, and packaging equipment is desirable.
• Ammonia refrigeration systems experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related utilities.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections to assess reliability and performance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and work orders for required maintenance.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and training of operators.
• Complete work orders accurately and on time, maintaining high quality standards.
• Document repairs and maintenance per SOPs and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with state and federal health and safety regulations.
