Job summary

Leprino Foods Company is seeking a Maintenance Tech (nights) for our state‑of‑the‑art facility in Lubbock, TX. The role focuses on installing, disassembling, repairing, and maintaining equipment while ensuring food safety and quality standards.

You will calibrate instrumentation, perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, and participate in the hazmat response team. The job requires adherence to SOPs, GMPs, and 5S principles, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English to understand SOPs and GMPs, communicate with others, and complete documentation.
• Must have the ability to perform essential job functions.
• Wear required PPE; comply with safety practices.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Enter data into and pull data from computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Completion of preventive maintenance work orders.
• Calibrate plant instrumentation (temperature, flow, pH, vacuum, pressure, Foxboro, Honeywell, Taylor).
• Perform mechanical duties such as repair and preventive maintenance of pumps, valves, conveyors, sprockets, gear boxes, welding and fabrication (arc, MIG, TIG).
• Work with industrial electricity (motor controls) to troubleshoot and repair electrical components and machinery including 3-phase 480V, 220V, and other plant systems.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, team leads, and supervisors.
• Review completed work to ensure highest quality of repair.
• Follow company safety policies and maintain housekeeping.
• Ensure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following Food Safety and Quality Plans.
• Implement and maintain 5S standards.
• Perform work safely by following procedures and rules.
