Job summary

FrieslandCampina Ingredients North America is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment in our manufacturing facility. The role covers three-phase electrical systems, PLC automation, and calibration of temperature, pressure, and flow devices.

Unionized, night/weekend/holiday shifts and union dues are required. You will inspect, install, and test equipment, read work orders, and collaborate with engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent with two years manufacturing experience.
• Electrical maintenance background and PLC experience preferred.
• Experience reading work orders and performing routine inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection rounds of equipment in assigned areas.
• Read and execute Work Orders for service or installation of machinery.
• Maintain knowledge of available resources including Vendors and Engineers.
• Progress through the Mechanic training program (TPC).
• Work on equipment types including Water, Air, Steam, Electrical, Gas, Refrigeration, Hydraulic and Mechanical Systems.
• Install, assemble, and test new equipment ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Inspect machines for signs of malfunction and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Monitor for signs of malfunction and troubleshoot accordingly.
