Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Cowpens, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to maintain conveyors, building systems, and electrical/controls equipment in our distribution center.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair equipment, document work, and communicate issues to leadership while upholding safety and efficiency. This full-time role offers shift-based hours, a $1.50 per hour differential on the night shift, and benefits including retirement plans and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Coursework or certification in electronic technology with 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in electronic tech or 3 years in industrial maintenance with electronic tech, including troubleshooting of automated equipment.
• PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
• Hands-on industrial electrical experience, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC systems.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial control devices/networking.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to business leadership.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain preventive maintenance and perform emergency repairs on equipment including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, hydraulics, dock equipment, and electrical/electronic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, logic controls, PLCs, motor drives (Servo and VFD), and external I/O devices.
• Diagnose electrical problems using drawings and diagnostic tools (multimeter, laptop).
• Assist other maintenance technicians in repair and maintenance of equipment.
• Initiate and implement new procedures to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Maintain organized work area and promote a safe environment within Maintenance.
