Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our warehouse team in Ashley, Indiana. You will perform preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and troubleshoot conveyors, controls, and electrical systems in the Distribution Center.

The role requires PLC/PC programming knowledge, industrial electrical hands‑on experience, and the ability to communicate technical issues to leadership. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required; health and retirement benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Two years industrial maintenance experience in electronic technology
• PLC/PC programming knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Industrial electrical hands‑on experience (480V 3‑phase, 110 VAC, 24 VDC)
• Strong troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial controls devices
• Clear communication of technical issues to leadership
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays
• Customer service oriented

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures to maximize personal and coworker safety
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (lift trucks, conveyors, dock equipment, etc.)
• Troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic problems with PLCs, servo/VFD drives, and I/O devices
• Diagnose electrical problems using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Assist other maintenance technicians with repairs
• Develop procedures to keep equipment operating at high efficiency
• Maintain organized work area and safety in the DC
• Document work orders and records accurately
• Operate material handling and battery equipment
• Ensure high workmanship quality
