Job summary
Graham Packaging Company in Altavista, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for night shift (6:45pm–6:45am) to install, diagnose, repair and maintain production equipment and building systems. You will perform preventive maintenance and respond to urgent repairs to keep operations running smoothly.
The role requires reading manuals and work orders, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and excellent teamwork.
Qualifications
- Two year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.
- Five years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong attendance, communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a positive attitude.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety, health, quality GMP and company policies and procedures.
- Monitor quality levels and adjust processes to maintain product integrity.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility.
- Diagnose problems, replace parts, and test repairs.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during operation and perform scheduled maintenance.
