Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician II based in Altavista, VA for the night shift (6:45pm–6:45am). The role covers installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment and plant facilities to ensure quality product and budgeted performance.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance and have several years of maintenance experience, with strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.
Minimum of five years Industrial Maintenance Technician experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work night shift and travel limitedly if required.

Responsibilities

Install and repair production machines and plant facilities.
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment.
Diagnose problems, replace parts, test and adjust.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during operation and planned maintenance during service windows.
Read manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
