Job summary

Pennex is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Leetonia, OH site. You will repair and maintain production and facilities equipment, ensuring reliable operation and minimal downtime.

Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, and electrical systems are required, with PLC troubleshooting experience. The role requires an Associate's degree or equivalent and 5+ years in manufacturing, with a night shift (6pm–6am) and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Five or more years of related experience and/or training in manufacturing.
• Experience with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and maintenance blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair equipment as required.
• Prioritize repairs with input from plant leadership.
• Repair or replace hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, combustion, and electronic components.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on extrusion presses and related equipment.
• Inspect air compressors and cooling water systems daily.
• Install/modify equipment to improve reliability and safety.
• Complete CMMS tasks in a timely manner.
