Job summary

Cart.com in Groveport, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to care for facilities, material handling equipment, and rolling stock through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. You will support conveyors, lifts, HVAC, and safety upgrades in a 10M+ sq ft network.

Requires 5 years’ experience in a distribution setting, knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, and hands-on proficiency with programmable controllers. Shift: Sunday-Thursday 10PM-6:30AM with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance experience in a distribution environment targeting material handling equipment, powered lift equipment and facilities.
• Strong diagnostic skills of powered lift equipment electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• 2 years actively performing preventive maintenance on material handling equipment.
• Vocational training or technical certification in a relevant area preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical applications up to 480 volts.
• Strong mechanical abilities and knowledge of hand tools.
• Knowledge of AC and DC circuits, wire guidance, hydraulics, and battery maintenance.
• Working knowledge of programmable controllers.
• Knowledge of carpentry skills including woodworking, door repair, drywall, metal studs, floor coverings, wall coverings, concrete, basic electrical, welding and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment including conveyors and sorters.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document activities.
• Identify service requiring outside vendors and inform supervisor.
• Troubleshoot and repair rolling stock equipment including lifts, cranes, bulls.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment including HVAC, pneumatics, water, and hydraulics.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report safety concerns.
• Clean work area and maintenance shop.
• Install safety fixtures (netting, wire mesh cages).
• Mentor Technician I and perform duties of Technician I.
• Serve on Emergency Response Team for the facility.
