Job summary

Walor North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the third shift to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems across the Columbus facility, ensuring safe, efficient operation and adherence to quality standards.

The role includes preventive maintenance, keeping maintenance records, data entry into the maintenance system, and diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, and servo drive systems. Requires 2–3 years in machine repair, ability to read schematics, and adherence to LOTO.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a machine repair and troubleshooting environment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems.
• Basic mechanical, welding and cutting skills.
• Ability to read/interprete mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints/schematics.
• Good problem solving skills and attention to quality/detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Meter usage and ability to complete measurements.
• Understanding and adherence to LOTO and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and in good, safe working order.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on various manufacturing equipment, including presses up to 2500T, furnaces, CNC saws, shot blast, and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance in line with the maintenance schedule and procedures.
• Maintain documentation of preventive maintenance, equipment repair, part usages and other projects.
• Communicate and document daily breakdowns and planned repairs.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and servo/electrical drive systems.
• Enter data into the maintenance system timely and accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.
