Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Facilities II Autostore technician in Ashland, VA. The role supports daily DC operations, performing general maintenance, carpentry, minor repairs, and routine painting to keep a safe and efficient environment.

You will assist with preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, inspect belts and filters, and repair or replace parts as needed. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of facility maintenance experience using hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance, custodial principles, procedures and standards.
• May need Lift Operator Certification per OSHA guidelines.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and teamwork abilities.
• Overtime may be required, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance or carpentry, minor repairs, and routine painting.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on building mechanical equipment; inspect belts, replace filters, grease bearings, and more.
• Relocate, move, and adjust furniture as needed.
• Respond to management and internal inquiries; research and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain safety records (HAZMAT) and interact with outsourced services.
• Operate powered lift equipment if required; keep repair logs updated.
• Maintain sanitary standards and perform other duties as assigned.
