Job summary

SanMar in Ashland, VA is seeking a Facilities III, Autostore technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment. This role also performs general maintenance and custodial duties as needed.

You will repair material handling equipment, maintain conveyors, coordinate contractors, and document maintenance procedures. A High School Diploma and 4–6 years of maintenance experience are required; OT and lifting tasks may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4–6 years of facility maintenance experience including duties listed.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize daily tasks.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance principles and safety standards.
• May be required to complete SanMar's Lift Operator Certification per OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repair of material handling equipment, including Autostore systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyors and mechanical equipment; inspect belts, fluids, filters, bearings, seals, and parts.
• Coordinate external contractors for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of building systems.
• Complete maintenance checklists and keep records of scheduled procedures.
• Maintain HAZMAT records and comply with laws and regulations.
• Respond professionally to inquiries and resolve facility operation issues.
