Job summary

SanMar is seeking an experienced Facilities technician to maintain material handling equipment, including Autostore systems, at our Ashland facility. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and coordination with external vendors.

Applicants should have 4-6 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work independently or on a team. Shift schedule and starting rate are posted in the job details.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4-6 years of facility maintenance experience with tools.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment preferred.
• Strong organization and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repair of material handling equipment including Autostore systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot conveyors and mechanical equipment.
• Coordinate external contractors for installations and maintenance.
• Complete maintenance checklists and maintain proper records.
• Comply with laws and maintain HAZMAT records as needed.
• Respond to management inquiries and resolve operational issues.
• Operate control systems for equipment; respond to emergencies.
• Occasionally perform custodial duties and snow removal as required.
• Obtain estimates for supplies and order parts when needed.
• Suggest improvements to maintenance programs and procedures.
