Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Facilities III, Autostore role in Ashland, VA to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. The position also includes general maintenance and janitorial duties as needed.

The candidate will perform repairs on material handling equipment, maintain conveyor systems, and coordinate with external contractors while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of facility maintenance experience.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment is preferred.
• Excellent organization and prioritization abilities.
• May complete SanMar Lift Operator Certification per OSHA guidelines.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repair of all material handling equipment, including Autostore systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot conveyor systems and mechanical equipment; inspect belts, fluids, filters, grease bearings, seals, etc.
• Coordinate external contractors/vendors for installation, commissioning and maintenance of building systems.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checklists and keep maintenance records.
• Maintain HAZMAT records and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Respond promptly to management and internal customer inquiries and resolve operational issues.
