Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform preventive and corrective maintenance in our bakery processing facility. You will assist with installing new equipment, support the maintenance team on special projects, and follow the preventative maintenance schedule, while upholding safety standards.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and hands-on welding, electrical, and mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in operating a forklift.
• Experience in welding, electrical, and mechanicals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of new equipment.
• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other personnel on special fabrication and construction projects.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedule.
• Train Level 1 maintenance personnel.
• Repair and install motors, gear boxes, pumps, piping, and seals.
• Grease and oil plant equipment daily.
• Diagnose and replace parts with minimal direction.
• Diagnose and repair control circuits and VFD installation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area at all times.
• Attend safety meetings and may serve on Safety Committee.
• All other duties as assigned.
