Job summary

Darling Ingredients maintains a bakery processing facility, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a rotating 12-hour night shift with every other weekend. The role requires hands-on welding, electrical, and mechanical skills, plus forklift operation and a strong safety mindset.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and experience with welding (MIG/Stick), control circuits, pumps, motors, and gear boxes. Vocational training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Experience in welding, electrical and mechanical work.
• Preferred: vocational training and MIG/Stick welding proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation of new equipment and fabrication projects.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and perform repairs.
• Repair motors, gear boxes, pumps and piping; replace seals.
• Troubleshoot control circuits and VFD installations.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety rules.
