Job summary

UGN Somerset in Kentucky seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to oversee repairs, projects, preventive and predictive maintenance for a 300,000-sq-ft facility. You will manage plant services, utilities, storeroom operations, and security needs, with a 7pm–7am rotating shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Experience as Maintenance Supervisor in a manufacturing plant preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance of buildings, grounds, machinery, and support equipment; plan scheduled repairs.
• Supervise all Maintenance Shift Team Members and storeroom operations.
• Direct all plant emergencies, including fires, storm damage, chemical spills, and major failures.
• Supervise and manage machinery improvements and predictive maintenance.
• Develop and implement training programs; institute safety and EI programs.
• Ensure timely, high‑quality, safe completion of maintenance projects and repairs.
• Maintain time and work order records; assist other departments when necessary.
• Directly supervise maintenance department staff, including hiring, training, and performance appraisals.
