Job summary

Worthington Enterprises is seeking an Off Shift Maintenance Supervisor to oversee evenings, nights, and weekends ensuring reliable operation of plant equipment. You will lead maintenance teams, coordinate preventive maintenance, manage emergencies, and ensure safety compliance while collaborating with day shift leaders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in supervisory or lead role in industrial maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairs of complex plant equipment.
• Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to lead and communicate with a team under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct off-shift maintenance personnel, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
• Coordinate and manage maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance, to minimize production downtime.
• Monitor and track work orders, ensuring completion in a timely manner and according to specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies during maintenance operations.
• Act as the point of contact for emergency breakdowns and coordinate rapid response to minimize downtime.
• Provide leadership and technical support to maintenance team members, including guidance on complex troubleshooting tasks.
• Review and prioritize maintenance requests, ensuring proper allocation of resources and addressing urgent issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts inventory, and completed work orders.
• Collaborate with day shift supervisors and management to ensure smooth transitions and effective communication between shifts.
• Train and develop maintenance staff on equipment, systems, and safety protocols.
• Ensure the availability and proper handling of spare parts, tools, and equipment for off-shift operations.
• Participate in the analysis of recurring issues and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Provide feedback and reports on maintenance activities and performance metrics.
