Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Lyndhurst, NJ, part of CRH, seeks a Machine Operator to operate equipment and follow safety policies to produce quality outdoor living products.

Responsibilities include reading specifications, setting up machines, monitoring for defects, performing basic maintenance, and supporting teammates to meet deadlines. Must have HS diploma or related experience and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have machine operator experience and mechanical skills.
• High school diploma/equivalent; or related experience in trades.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths using scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Review product quality to ensure it meets requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with setup.
• Maintain housekeeping and support other operators as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and company rules.
