Job summary

Wellpath is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the WA Yakima Detention Center. The role supports nursing care for underserved populations, with 12-hour night shifts part-time availability and a focus on compassionate, evidence-based practice.

You will work under RN supervision, performing medication administration, patient education, and care coordination, while contributing to treatment planning and safety protocols in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Must have active LPN/LVn license in the state of employment.
• CPR certification required.
• Prefer minimum 1 year clinic experience.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions and contribute to treatment planning.
• Administer medications as directed and perform related nursing tasks per protocols.
• Assist in medical or minor procedures and document nursing encounters using SOAP notes.
• Participate in controlled substance counts, safety procedures, and emergency response procedures.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other personnel to ensure high-quality patient care.
