Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a part-time night shift to provide patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The LPN will work with a multidisciplinary team, applying nursing processes and standards to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, teaching patients and families, and supporting department initiatives while maintaining flexibility

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program required.
• Current LPN licensure in the state of Iowa required.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and adapt to department needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and document responses with the care team.
• Develop and implement the plan of care including discharge planning.
• Provide learning opportunities for patients and families per the RN teaching plan.
• Support new processes and adapt to technology and policy changes.
• Communicate patient changes to the RN and care team.
