Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA seeks a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse for the 12 Hour Night Shift. The LPN provides patient care under RN supervision within a multidisciplinary team, following nursing standards and the nursing process.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, contributing to care plans, educating patients and families, and supporting process improvements. Excellent teamwork and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN licensure in the state of Iowa.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in assessing and evaluating patient needs and documents responses.
• Develops and implements plan of care with discharge planning.
• Provides learning opportunities to meet educational needs of patient/family.
• Adapts to changes in health care environment and supports new technology and processes.
• Communicates patient changes to RN and multidisciplinary team.
• Attends department meetings and contributes to quality and policy adherence.
• Supports staffing needs and manages supplies while remaining flexible with schedule.
• Participates in process improvement teams to enhance outcomes.
