MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time, night-shift role. You will provide patient care under RN supervision, work with a multidisciplinary team, and apply the nursing process to uphold professional standards.

This position emphasizes assessment, care planning including discharge planning, patient education, and effective communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program required.
• Current LPN licensure in the state of Iowa.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in assessing and evaluating patient needs and documents responses to nursing interventions.
• Assists in developing and implementing the plan of care including discharge planning.
• Provides learning opportunities to meet patient/family education needs.
• Communicates pertinent patient changes to RN and care team.
• Attends departmental meetings and supports staffing needs as required.
