Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the night shift. The LPN provides patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The role features a full-time 36-hour weekly schedule with 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), including every other holiday and every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program required.
• Current LPN licensure in the state of Iowa.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet department needs

Responsibilities

• Assists in assessing and evaluating patient needs and documents responses with the multidisciplinary team.
• Contributes to plan of care including discharge planning per nursing standards.
• Provides and facilitates learning opportunities for patients and families.
• Communicates patient changes to the RN and care team.
• Attends department meetings and supports staffing needs as required.
• Documents patient information accurately in medical records.
