Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN licensure in the state of Iowa.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs

Responsibilities

• Assists in assessing and evaluating patient needs and documents responses to nursing interventions with the multidisciplinary team.
• Develops and implements the plan of care including discharge planning.
• Provides learning opportunities to meet educational needs of patient/family based on the teaching plan.
• Adapts to changes in health care by supporting technology and process changes.
• Communicates pertinent patient changes to the RN and team.
• Attends department meetings and participates in in-services and educational opportunities.
• Supports staffing needs and uses resources efficiently while maintaining productivity.
• Documents patient information accurately in the medical record.
