Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a detail-oriented editor to proofread and refine legal documents in our Phoenix, AZ facility. This full-time role requires extensive editing/writing experience and fluency in English, with a strong focus on accuracy and style adherence.

The successful candidate will work third shift onsite, Monday–Friday, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, and must be able to start as soon as possible. Experience with Chicago/Bluebook/CAL style is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism or 1 year legal experience preferred
• Strong command of style guides: Chicago AP Bluebook California
• Excellent written and verbal communication; attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Proofread complex legal documents to ensure spelling, punctuation, and grammar per style guides
• Compare documents word for word against originals to ensure accuracy
• Review cross-references and terms for accuracy; check Table of Authorities
• Check revisions/e-markups against drafts to ensure corrections are made
• Ensure content is clear, complete, and logically organized; follow policies and procedures
• Use proofreading marks to note corrections; perform additional duties as assigned
