RR Donnelley is seeking a meticulous editor/writer to polish legal documents with a focus on precise language and precise formatting. You'll work with English literature, journalism, or writing backgrounds to ensure consistency and correctness across complex materials.

Must be able to commute to Phoenix, AZ and start as soon as possible. The role operates on the 3rd shift, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, onsite. Proficiency with editing standards and strong attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism or 1 year of legal experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style, AP Style, The Blue Book, and California Style Manual.

Responsibilities

• Proofread complex legal documents to ensure spelling, grammar, punctuation and style per firm standards.
• Compare documents word-for-word against originals to ensure accurate conversion.
• Review cross-references, terms, and authorities for accuracy and style.
• Check revisions against drafts to ensure all corrections are applied.
• Ensure content is clear, complete and logically organized.
• Use proofreading marks to annotate corrections.
• Follow established policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
