Qualifications

• Experience with legal terminology and citation styles (Chicago, Bluebook, CA Style).
• Strong written and verbal communication; expert English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Responsibilities

• Proofread complex legal documents for consistency, spelling, syntax, punctuation and grammar.
• Compare documents word-for-word against originals for accurate conversion.
• Review cross-references and terms; check authorities for accuracy and style.
• Check handwritten revisions against working drafts and ensure corrections are made.
• Ensure content is clear, complete, and logically organized; use standard proofreading marks.
• Follow policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
