Job summary

Staples Supply Chain is seeking a Lead Material Handling Equipment Operator to mentor new staff and fill in for supervisors as needed. You will operate forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product, while maintaining a clean, safe workspace and following safety procedures.

You must be able to lift up to 100 pounds, pass a drug screen, and work overtime if required. The role requires basic English skills and a willingness to collaborate in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ months related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• If you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; overtime may be required.
• Ability to lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Must wear safety composite work shoes.
• Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor material handlers and fill in for supervisors as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace and ensure safety practices are followed.
• Support Staples Supply Chain operations and contribute to delivering to customers.
