Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a permanent night shift in Irving, TX. You will care for mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period, ensuring safety and high-quality patient-centered care.

The role requires ADN/BSN, active RN licensure in Texas or a compact state, 1.5+ years of L&D experience, and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification within 30 days of hire. Night shifts include three 12-hour shifts per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Active, unencumbered RN license (Texas or Compact State).
• Minimum 1.5 years of L&D or Antepartum RN experience (Level II+ facility preferred).
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (required within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.
• Monitor, interpret, and document fetal heart patterns and maternal vital signs, initiating appropriate interventions immediately as needed.
• Collaborate closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal maternal-fetal outcomes.
• Educate patients and family members on the labor process, delivery options, and early postnatal/newborn care.
• Support and advocate for a unit-wide culture of safety, maintaining meticulous and compliant EHR documentation.
