Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Lab Assistant to support the clinical lab in a fast-paced environment. The role involves receiving and sorting specimens, preparing them for testing, and entering data into the system.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 3+ months of specimen processing and lab experience preferred. Schedule is Mon–Fri with alternating Saturdays (11:00pm–7:30am) and pay ranges from $17.75 to $20 per hour plus shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
