Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team. The position involves receiving and sorting clinical specimens, preparing them for testing, data entry, and ensuring equipment functionality. It requires a high school diploma and preferably 3 months of specimen processing or laboratory experience.

The role supports a fast-paced environment with emphasis on safety and accuracy. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $20 per hour with shift differential and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
