Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our Brick, NJ team. Schedule: Monday – Friday 6:00pm – 2:30am, and Saturday as needed. You will prepare specimens for analysis, route them to staging areas, and ensure accurate labeling and data entry in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and may prefer 1 year in a lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment, or medical experience. Lifting up to 40lbs and MS Office skills are necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• 1 year medical or production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.
