Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team. The work schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, 6:00am–2:30pm; you will receive and sort clinical lab specimens, prepare samples for testing, and perform data entry.

This role requires a high school diploma; preferred 3+ months specimen processing or lab experience. You will work in a fast-paced production environment, uphold safety standards and maintain a clean workspace. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 months or more specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3 months or more medical or laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all SOPs to ensure safety and quality standards.
