Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ seeks a Lab Assistant to join our team on a Tuesday through Saturday overnight shift (1:00 am to 9:30 am). You will receive and sort clinical lab specimens, prepare samples for testing, perform data entry, and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference for candidates with specimen processing or laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience is preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
