Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ, is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team. Schedule: Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Responsibilities include receiving and sorting clinical lab specimens, preparing samples for testing, data entry, and maintaining equipment. Requires a high school diploma; 3+ months specimen processing or lab experience preferred. Benefits included; overtime possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience is preferred.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
